Anhui Tiankai Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

Anhui Tiankai Biotechnology Co., Ltd., which trades as ATK Biotech, produces long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids by fermentation. Its plant is at 109 Husong Road in the Shitan Industrial Park, Shizi Town, Quanjiao County, in the Chuzhou economic development zone in Anhui Province. The site covers about 120 mu, close to 80,000 square metres, and the company reports registered capital of 125 million yuan.

The company belongs to the Tiankai group, which started in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, in the late 2000s and built its first plant there. That Jiangsu operation holds HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 certification, and the group's DHA algal oil has passed a United States GRAS notification. Planning for the Anhui plant was announced in 2018 in three phases, and phase I brought DHA algal oil, ARA oil and the corresponding microencapsulated powders into production in 2021.

DHA is fermented from Schizochytrium and ARA from Mortierella alpina, and the same site also sells Schizochytrium biomass as a powder. Later phases cover OPO structured lipids and functional milk proteins, including alpha-lactalbumin, beta-lactoglobulin, milk fat globule membrane protein and caseinomacropeptide, alongside whey protein isolate, probiotics and D-allulose. Output goes into infant formula, dietary supplements, foods for special medical purposes and animal feed, and is sold in North America, Japan, South Korea, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
