Henan Shuguang Biotechnology Co., Ltd. has produced soy protein since 2003 and is based in Jiaozuo, Henan.

Its plant protein base covers 200 mu and has a stated annual capacity of 50,000 tonnes. Six protein powder lines account for 10,000 tonnes a year, and a separate line for textured, filamentous and concentrated textured protein accounts for 20,000 tonnes. Textured vegetable protein is made from non-genetically-modified plant protein under high temperature and pressure, and is supplied in regular square, spherical, columnar and irregular flake forms under codes such as GD-01, RW-01, SS-01, SG-T1 and Z101.

The company holds ISO 9001:2015 and HACCP certification and has been named a leading enterprise in agricultural industrialisation by Henan province. It set up an application laboratory to develop foods with its proteins jointly with customers, and offers process and formulation advice alongside made-to-order grades. Domestic sales cover around 30 cities, and exports go to the Philippines, Vietnam, Russia, South Korea and other markets.
