Tianjin Chunfa Bio-Technology Group Co., Ltd. (天津春发生物科技集团有限公司) traces its origins to 1992 and was among the first Chinese firms to apply modern process technology to savoury food flavours and seasonings. Its registered address is 11 Libei Road in the Dongli Economic Development Area, Tianjin.

The group covers basic flavour research, product development, application work, manufacturing and sales. Its holding subsidiaries are Tianjin Chunyu Food Ingredients Co., Ltd., Chunfa Biotechnology (Ningxia) Co., Ltd. and Tianjin Weiqin Baijia Technology Development Co., Ltd. Chunyu, set up on 29 November 2006, is the main Tianjin production site, with about 40,000 square metres of building area and enclosed automated production equipment. In 2024 Chunyu invested 20 million yuan to extend its seasoning lines, adding 4,000 tonnes a year of capacity, and the extension passed environmental review in October that year with 5.85 percent of the outlay going to environmental controls.

Output covers thermal reaction beef and chicken powders, concentrated meat pastes, hotpot beef tallow flavours, chilli and Sichuan pepper flavoured oils, snail rice noodle soup paste and marinade seasonings, sold into prepared dishes, compound seasonings, chicken bouillon, instant noodles, cooked meat, frozen foods, hotpot and snack applications. The company holds high and new technology enterprise status, runs a CNAS accredited laboratory and hosts a Tianjin municipal key laboratory for flavour food ingredients.
