Zhejiang Biosan Biotech Co., Ltd. (浙江百山祖生物科技有限公司) was established in 2012 and processes medicinal and edible mushrooms at the Lishui Economic and Technological Development Zone in Lishui, Zhejiang Province. It is registered as a national high-tech enterprise and runs a provincial-level high-tech enterprise research centre.

Raw material comes from the company's own organic reishi cultivation base at Longquan, with further organic mushroom growing bases at Qingyuan in Zhejiang and Gutian in Fujian. Processing uses membrane separation, low-temperature physical shear cell-wall disruption, microencapsulation and enzyme engineering, with nitrogen flushing through packing to preserve active compounds. Products are sold under the Baishanzhu and Lugu Mingzhu brands and include broken-wall reishi spore powder, organic lion's mane powder, solid beverage and hydroalcoholic extract, maitake extract and birch polypore extract, supplied as powders, extracts, capsules and granules.

The company holds organic certification in China, the European Union, the United States and Japan, with further certifications for the United Kingdom and Canada, plus Kosher and Halal. It led the drafting of Chinese industry and group standards for broken-wall reishi spore powder, maitake extract and lion's mane products, holds more than twenty invention patents and has taken part in over twenty national research programmes, working with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Nanjing Normal University.
