Anhui Xingzhou Pharma Co., Ltd.

Anhui Xingzhou Pharma was founded in 2003 and specialises in glucono-delta-lactone and the wider gluconate family, covering research, manufacture, sale and export. It is a national high-tech enterprise and one of the earlier entrants into the Chinese food additive industry.

Production starts from rice rather than from purchased glucose, using a core process the company developed itself, and yields pharmaceutical, food and industrial grades. Installed capacity is 20,000 tonnes a year of glucono-delta-lactone, 10,000 tonnes of compound food additives, 3,000 tonnes of gluconate salts and 3,000 tonnes of protein powder. Glucono-delta-lactone in this quantity is largely a tofu coagulant business, and Xingzhou is a vice-chairman unit of the soy products committee of the China National Food Industry Association.

The company holds pharmaceutical, food and feed production licences. Certification covers ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and ISO 45001, along with BRCGS, HACCP, Halal and Kosher. It has been named a key provincial leading enterprise in agricultural industrialisation and a specialised and innovative small and medium enterprise of Anhui province; the Xingzhou brand glucono-delta-lactone is designated an Anhui famous-brand product and the Xingzhou trademark an Anhui export brand.

The plant is in the industrial zone at Taocheng town, Langxi County, in the Xuancheng area of southern Anhui, and the company exports directly to a range of countries and regions.
