Artsci Biology Technologies (Hangzhou) Corporation (杭州安赛生物科技有限公司) researches and makes natural food flavour materials and food flavours at 18 Chunchao Road in the Qiaonan block of the Xiaoshan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The site covers more than 18,000 square metres. The company gives registered capital of 20 million yuan and total investment of 250 million yuan, and holds high and new technology enterprise status.

Its technical base rests on headspace aroma analysis for identifying trace volatile compounds in fresh foods, extraction of natural concentrated flavour materials, enzymatic hydrolysis, Maillard reaction processing, and precursor flavours that develop aroma when heated. Products cover fruit, dairy, tea and confectionery profiles including watermelon, cantaloupe, passion fruit, matcha, coconut, lime, oat and cookie flavours, together with flavour pastes. Application work is concentrated on dairy, ice cream, beverages and other food categories.

In May 2022 Firmenich announced it had increased its shareholding to take a majority stake in the company, which had previously been a strategic partner. A related entity, Artsci Biology Technologies (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd., was founded in December 2005 and listed on China's National Equities Exchange and Quotations board in July 2017 under code 871863.
