Baoding Way Chein Food Industrial was established in China in 1991 with investment from the Taiwanese Way Chein Group. It has more than thirty years of experience in hydrolysed vegetable protein powder, which remains its core product, and total powder production capacity is 21,000 tonnes a year.

The savoury range covers hydrolysed vegetable protein powder, fermented soy sauce powder, tomato powder, vinegar powder, disodium succinate and meaty flavour powders. Alongside these the company runs an instant beverage powder business making three-in-one coffee, milk tea powder, fruit flavour drink powder, pudding, creme brulee and jelly powders and tea powders, so the same spray drying and blending assets serve both a savoury ingredient and a consumer beverage line.

Certification is extensive for a company of this size and covers ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, CNAS laboratory accreditation, BRCGS, Kosher, Halal and SEDEX social compliance auditing.
