Chalkis Health Industry Co., Ltd. (中基健康产业股份有限公司) was established as a joint-stock company on 30 June 1994 and listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in September 2000 under code 000972. It is based in Wujiaqu, a city administered by the Sixth Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The company was called Xinjiang Chalkis Industrial Co., Ltd. from April 1999 and took its present name in May 2016.

The business covers tomato breeding, contracted growing, processing, research and trade. Its output is large-format tomato paste in aseptic drums, small-pack consumer tomato products such as ketchup and tomato juice, canned chickpeas in tomato sauce, and lycopene extracted from tomato. Lycopene is sold as a raw extract and formulated into lycopene and vitamin E softgel capsules, alongside a tomato probiotic freeze-dried powder.

The company states its production scale ranks second in China and third worldwide, with sales in more than seventy countries and regions. In 2005 the Ministry of Commerce named ChalkiS-brand tomato paste a state-priority export brand for the food and animal husbandry sector in western China. It appears in the 2025 listing of China's five hundred key food industry enterprises.
