Changzhou Guoyu Environmental S&T Co., Ltd. operates on Miaoqiao Street in the Wujin High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. Registered capital is 50.99 million yuan. The site occupies about 70 mu with 18,000 square metres of buildings, and the company employs more than 280 people, 152 of them workers with disabilities.

Its two product lines are sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, sold under the Yuyu brand, and silver salts, which include silver nitrate, silver chloride and silver iodide alongside silver refining and chloroauric acid manufacture. It also supplies wastewater treatment equipment and related environmental services. The CMC is made by alkalisation, etherification, neutralisation and washing, and is offered in food, battery, oilfield drilling, textile dyeing and household chemical grades. The food grade is sold for thickening, suspension, emulsification, stabilising and film forming in yoghurt drinks, fruit milk, ice cream, jelly, soft candy, bread and instant noodles.

The company obtained ISO 9001 certification in 2001 and ISO 14001 in 2007. Its trademark was recognised as a Jiangsu famous trademark and its product as a Jiangsu famous-brand product in 2010, and it received China Well-known Trademark status in 2012.
