Dingli Biodegradable Material Co., Ltd.

Dingli Biodegradable Material Co., Ltd. is the food-grade arm of the Dingli group, built in 2019 in the Yuxi Food Ecological Industrial Park at Taoyuan Town, Feicheng City, Shandong province. The wider business dates from 1992 and has worked on plant tree gums since then.

Its two main lines are peach gum and gum arabic. Peach gum is the resin exuded by peach and mountain peach trees of the Rosaceae family after injury or infection; Dingli takes the raw resin through picking, sorting, drying, cleaning, hydrolysis, filtration, spray drying and packing to produce a jelly-like gum. Gum arabic is handled alongside it, and in 2013 the company supplied the demonstration data behind national standard GB 29949-2013.

The group now runs two factories and one office, with combined annual capacity of more than 2,000 tonnes across peach gum and gum arabic. Its material goes into beverage emulsification, flavour retention, food adhesives and confectionery and chocolate coating, and the company points to the dietary fibre content of gum arabic as the reason for its use in higher-fibre formulations.
