Hangzhou Zanyu Oleo-techology Co., Ltd.

Hangzhou Zanyu Oleo Technology Co., Ltd. is the Hangzhou oleochemicals arm of Zanyu Technology Group Co., Ltd. It was known as Hangzhou Oil and Fat Chemical Co., Ltd. until 2022, when it took its present name. The group acquired 86.84 per cent of the business in 2012 and bought out the remainder in 2016.

The parent traces back to the Zhejiang Provincial Light Industry Research Institute, founded in 1965. The institute was converted into Zhejiang Zancheng Technology Co., Ltd. in 2000, reorganised as a joint stock company in 2007 and listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in November 2011 under code 002637. The group took the name Zanyu Technology Group in 2016.

The oleochemical range covers hydrogenated vegetable oils, fatty acids, fatty acid esters including distilled monoglycerides, glycerine, fatty acid salts, and dimer acid and polyamide resins. The group's other main line is surfactants, and it also runs contract manufacturing of household and personal care products. Annual capacity for surfactants and for oleochemicals each exceeds 1.2 million tonnes, with OEM and ODM capacity of 1.1 million tonnes. The group reports 18 production bases, more than 200 products and services, annual sales of 13.1 billion yuan and over 2,500 employees, with plants in the Qiantang district of Hangzhou, Jiaxing, Meishan in Sichuan, Hebi in Henan, Jiangmen in Guangdong and Jakarta in Indonesia.

Certification covers quality, environment, occupational health and safety and measurement management systems, with Sedex SMETA ethical trade audit, EFfCI European cosmetic ingredient GMP and BRC certification for surfactant and detergent production, and halal certification for oleochemicals. Research platforms include a China light industry engineering technology research centre for sulphonated surfactants, a Zhejiang key enterprise research institute and key laboratory for surfactants, and a provincial key laboratory for structured lipid synthesis and application approved in 2025.
