HeBei PeiRan Century Nutritional Food Co., Ltd.

Hebei Peiran Century Food Co., Ltd. processes jujube (Chinese red date) and other fruit into concentrated juices and powders at a plant in the Cangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, Hebei Province. It is the food arm of Hebei Peiran Group, which was set up in 1995 and moved into the jujube business in 2001 by acquiring a beverage company; the first premium jujube juice came off the line in 2002. The company works with the jujube resource around Cangzhou, where the local golden silk small date is grown.

Its intermediate ingredient range covers concentrated jujube, hawthorn, goji, jujube-goji, carrot and strawberry juices, and jujube, goji and hawthorn powders, alongside washed and semi-processed whole dates. These go into instant noodle seasoning, bakery goods, powdered drink mixes, ice cream, jelly, juice, dairy and milk drinks. Its customers include the dairy groups Yili, Mengniu, Bright Dairy, Feihe, Nestle, Wondersun, Sanyuan and New Hope. Products were exported to Japan from 2006.

The company runs a jujube orchard base of around 10,000 mu and a cold store, consumes more than 20,000 tonnes of raw dates a year and buys from about 52,000 grower households. Reported site area is over 80,000 square metres with roughly 100 staff. In 2012 it rebuilt its concentrated juice and fine processing lines, designing the workshops to pharmaceutical GMP layout and adding 720 square metres. It holds ISO9001, ISO22000, FSSC22000 and China SC certification, and is designated a Hebei provincial key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialisation.
