Heilongjiang Province Shangzhi Luye Berry Co., Ltd.

Heilongjiang Province Shangzhi Luye Berry Co., Ltd. processes small berries at a plant in the Shangzhi development zone, southeast of Harbin in Heilongjiang. It is a privately held joint-stock company with fixed assets of RMB 60 million, a site of 81,504 square metres and 17,000 square metres of buildings. Annual processing capacity is 10,000 tonnes.

The works are organised as one research and quality-inspection centre and four production shops, for concentrated juice, plant extraction, individually quick frozen fruit and beverages. Output falls into eight families: concentrated juices, anthocyanins, juice powders, NFC purees, jams, beverage bases, IQF frozen fruit and juice drinks. Fruit handled includes bog bilberry from the Greater Khingan range, red raspberry, blackcurrant, blue honeysuckle berry, wild lingonberry, cranberry, mulberry, blackberry, aronia, black goji, mountain grape, seabuckthorn and golden berry. The anthocyanin line covers mulberry, blueberry, blue honeysuckle and blackcurrant grades.

Product is exported to the United States, Canada, South Africa, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, Japan and South Korea. Domestic sales run to Guangdong, Hunan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Xinjiang, Hebei, Shandong, Guizhou, Liaoning, Jilin, Shaanxi, Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai. A separate sales company in the Laoshan District of Qingdao handles orders, and the company also sells finished blueberry, raspberry and blackcurrant juice drinks under its own brand.
