Henan E-king Gelatin Co., Ltd.

Henan E-King Gelatin Co., Ltd. has produced gelatin since 1985 and has made nothing else since. Its plant is in the industrial zone at Renhe Town, Xiping County, Zhumadian, in the food-processing belt of central Henan. The core facility covers 48,000 square metres, with a further 15,660 square metres of research and office space including a pilot workshop.

The range covers edible, pharmaceutical and industrial grades together with pre-cut gelatin sheets. Bloom strengths run from 120 to 300 and mesh sizes from 8 to 60, and bloom, viscosity and mesh can be set to order. Raw material is bovine hide. Pharmaceutical grade is traceable from raw hide to finished batch and ships with a certificate of analysis. Two interconnected plants give a combined annual output above 13,000 tonnes.

Exports began in 1997. ISO and HACCP certification followed in 2000, alongside sales into 15 countries. A new factory in 2016 took export volume past 3,000 tonnes, by 2021 the company was shipping to more than 60 countries on total output of 9,000 tonnes, and a further production line in 2023 lifted annual output past 12,000 tonnes. Current certification includes ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000:2018, FSSC 22000, HACCP, United States FDA food facility registration and halal certificates from BPJPH and MUI. The company holds more than 20 national patents and exhibits at Food Ingredients China.
