Henan Tianmimi Sugar Industry Co., Ltd. makes gellan gum at a plant on the east section of Jianshe Road in Dancheng County, Zhoukou, Henan. Output is 1,000 tonnes of gellan gum a year and the fermentation feedstock is non-genetically-modified maize.

Both grades are produced. High acyl gellan gum is offered for thickening, suspension, acid resistance and thermal stability; low acyl gellan gum is offered as a gelling agent, stabiliser and suspending agent. The company employs more than 500 people, of whom 156 are technical staff, and it treats the local agricultural raw material base as the reason for producing there.

Certification covers ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, halal, kosher and FDA registration. Product is sold across China and exported to more than 80 countries and regions, among them the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Italy, the United States, Canada, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia.
