Huangshan Tianxiang Technology makes aroma chemicals, with mint and cooling compounds at the centre. It produces menthol in several grades, including low-bitterness, powdered and water-soluble forms, isopulegol, the intermediate in synthetic menthol routes, and a cooling agent range covering menthyl lactate, menthyl acetate and the WS series, WS-3, WS-5, WS-10 and WS-23, plus stronger proprietary cooling compounds. A eugenol line and mint oils, flavours and the sweeteners neotame and sucralose sit alongside.

The company started in 2014 in the circular economy park at Shexian, Huangshan, Anhui, on 46,200 square metres with registered capital of 116 million yuan, and holds national high-tech enterprise status. It developed its own menthol process, protected by several patents, and sells into flavour, oral care, tobacco alternative and pharmaceutical use.
