Jiangmen City Xinhui District Zhongsheng Bio-tech Co., Ltd. was established in 2007 and makes sodium polyacrylate at Xiaoze on Xinkai Road in Daze, Xinhui District, Jiangmen, Guangdong.

Food-grade sodium polyacrylate is the main line, supplied in grades 20G, 20S and 18F, and the company describes itself as one of the larger Chinese producers of the material. The 18F grade is offered as an ice cream emulsifier and stabiliser and the 20G grade as a pellet feed binder. Beyond food the same chemistry is sold as a feed additive, a concrete water reducing agent, a medical hydrogel and a raw material for antipyretic and cooling patches, and a sodium polyacrylate copolymer range for cosmetics is offered as ZP-600, ZP-700 and ZP-800.

The company holds more than twenty invention and utility model patents and has a school and enterprise research relationship with the Guangdong Institute of Food and Drug Control. In 2022 it worked with that institute, the Guangdong Second Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Foshan Yafo Medical Devices to draft a group standard for partially neutralised sodium polyacrylate. It was recognised as a national high-technology enterprise in 2020, and in 2023 as a Jiangmen intellectual property demonstration enterprise and a provincial specialised and innovative enterprise; its water-soluble sodium polyacrylate took a second prize for scientific and technological invention from the Guangdong Provincial Light Industry Association. Certification covers ISO 22000 and halal. Product is sold across China and exported to Southeast Asia, South America, Japan and Taiwan.
