Jiangsu Hongshou Bioengineering Co., Ltd. (江苏鸿寿生物工程有限公司) operates at 106 Renmin East Road in Dagong town, part of Hai'an under Nantong in Jiangsu Province. It was formerly registered as Hai'an Hongshou Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and its people have worked on edible fungus cultivation technology for more than thirty years.

The company grows Ganoderma lucidum and processes the spores it collects. Its output is shell-broken Ganoderma spore powder, spore powder capsules and spore oil soft capsules, along with other mushroom products. Annual production of spore powder is given as 100 to 120 tonnes.

The plant covers more than 6,000 square metres and runs three lines for powders, hard capsules and soft capsules. It is GMP certified and holds Chinese health food registration for its broken spore powder and capsule products. Work is taken on an own-brand basis under the Hongshou name and as contract manufacturing, with exports to North America, Western and Eastern Europe, East and Southeast Asia and Oceania. The company has research links with the Jiangsu and Shanghai academies of agricultural sciences, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Nanjing Normal University, Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and Jiangsu University of Science and Technology.
