Jiangsu Jiangshan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.

Jiangsu Jiangshan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. makes vitamin C and vitamin C derivatives. The plant is at 61 Jiangshan Road in Jingjiang City, Jiangsu Province, and the sales and marketing office is in Suzhou. The company was set up in 1990 as a joint venture between the state-owned Jingjiang Glucose Factory, Jiangsu Medical and Health Products Import and Export Group, and Hong Kong Zhongshan Company.

The corporate history has run through several changes. An overseas sales office, Jiangshan USA, opened in 1992, and the Jingjiang plant was expanded in 1995. A Suzhou marketing and sales centre followed in 2000. In 2015 the business was renamed DSM Jiangshan Pharmaceutical (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., and in March 2024 the name reverted to Jiangsu Jiangshan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.

Regulatory coverage is extensive. Jiangshan obtained GMP certification for ascorbic acid in 2001, HACCP certification in 2003, EU CEP and Japanese JDMF registration in 2007, and passed EU-GMP on-site inspection for ascorbic acid in 2011 and for sodium ascorbate in 2014. Its sodium ascorbate CEP, granted in 2012, was the first in China. The site also lists ISO9001, FSSC22000, FAMI-QS, IP, Halal and Kosher, and states that products meet the Chinese, US, EU, UK, Japanese, Russian and Indian pharmacopoeias as well as FCC and E300. An academician workstation was established in 2009 and a national postdoctoral workstation in 2010.
