Jiangsu Mupro makes preservative and mineral salts for food. Calcium propionate and potassium sorbate are the products it is known for, the two workhorse mould inhibitors of bread and of drinks and sauces, and the catalogue extends to sodium propionate and sorbic acid, the acetates including sodium diacetate, potassium and sodium citrate and calcium citrate, and phosphate salts of sodium and potassium.

The company started in November 2004 at Lianyungang in northern Jiangsu and listed on the Beijing Stock Exchange in March 2023 under code 920422. It employs about 271 people, runs four production lines built to GMP standards and its own research and testing centre, and works with Jiangnan University and Shandong University of Technology on process development. Certification covers BRC, FSSC, Kosher, Halal and FAMI-QS, and it sells into more than 60 countries.
