JIANGSU Shuguang Biochemical Factory

Jiangsu Shuguang Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (江苏曙光生物科技有限公司), trading as Shuguang Biochemical, produces hydrolysed and fermentation-derived amino acids. The factory is in the Ganyu Economic Development Zone at Zhenxing South Road, Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, close to the Longhai railway and the Changshen and Shenhai expressways. Shuguang Biochemical Factory was established in 1999.

The plant added 2,000 square metres of production and warehouse space in 2001 and a further 4,000 square metres of clean production areas and warehousing in 2012. A new production facility rated at 4,500 tonnes a year opened in 2024. The site runs four clean workshops across eight production lines and operates its own testing centre.

Products include L-lysine hydrochloride, L-cysteine hydrochloride and L-cysteine base, N-acetyl-L-cysteine, L-arginine base and hydrochloride, L-methionine, L-threonine, L-tryptophan and L-tyrosine, plus granulated and instantised sports-nutrition grades such as EAA and BCAA blends, creatine monohydrate, L-citrulline, L-glutamine and HMB-CA, and dipeptide salts including L-arginine-L-aspartate and L-ornithine-L-aspartate.

The company obtained ISO 9001 certification in 2005, cGMP and HACCP certificates in 2014 and BRC certification in 2019. It set up SG Supplement Inc in Los Angeles in 2017 and Shuguang GmbH in Würzburg, Germany, in 2019.
