JK Sucralose Inc.

JK Sucralose Inc., registered in Chinese as 盐城捷康三氯蔗糖制造有限公司, was founded in 2006 in the Sheyang County economic development zone, Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. It makes a single product, the high-intensity sweetener sucralose, and is described as the largest producer in China. A 4,000 tonne per year sucralose plant was engineered for the site, with longer-term plans running to 12,000 tonnes.

The company was the first Chinese firm to take part voluntarily in a United States International Trade Commission section 337 investigation into sucralose patents, and was found not to infringe. It holds its own intellectual property, with 20 Chinese and four United States patent applications, and was one of the main drafters of the Chinese national standard for sucralose.

Sales run to more than 90 countries and regions. The company operates direct sales subsidiaries in the United States, Europe, Japan and India, and its sales headquarters is in Beijing. Certifications include ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, OHSAS 18000, cGMP, HACCP and Sedex, along with kosher and halal approvals.
