Liaocheng Xinhengji Biotechnology makes savoury flavours for food manufacturers and the catering trade. The two lines carried here are meat flavours and flavour oils, the bases that put beef, chicken, pork and spice notes into seasoning powders, soup and noodle sachets, meat products, sauces and prepared dishes.

Flavour oils of this kind are made by heating spices, alliums or animal fats in oil so the aroma moves into the fat, which is what makes them work in hotpot bases, stir fry sauces and noodle dressings. The company was founded in 2000 at Liaocheng in western Shandong and covers development, production, sales and application work for its customers. In 2013 it built a new research and production site of more than 66,000 square metres.
