Ningxia Huaji Biological Co., Ltd.

Ningxia Huaji Biological Co., Ltd. was founded in 2019 and is based in Wuzhong, in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, at No. 14 West Street, Jinji Town, Litong District. The site covers 130,000 square metres and the company employs more than 200 people.

The business is built on synthetic biology. Its plant holds large-scale fermentation, extraction and refining workshops together with wastewater treatment. Main products are nucleosides, food additives, and raw materials for health products and cosmetics; natural calcium propionate produced by fermentation is among the food preservative lines.

Certifications cover ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP and Kosher. The company is recognised as a National High-Tech Enterprise and as a regional "specialised and sophisticated" small and medium enterprise, a gazelle enterprise and a science and technology enterprise. It holds 34 patents, of which four are invention patents and thirty are utility models. A 2,000 square metre laboratory in Ningxia houses three platforms covering strain testing, fermentation and extraction, and handles product development from bench scale through pilot work to commercial transfer. Sales offices were opened in Beijing in March 2023 and Hangzhou in June 2023, and the company exhibits at FIC, CPhI China and FBIF.
