Qingdao Hyzlin Biology Development Co., Ltd. was established in 2011 and extracts marine biological products from seaweed. Its plant is at No. 8 Longquanhe 5th Road in the Qingdao Northern Industrial Park, Shandong Province, and registered capital is 32 million yuan.

Production is centred on alginates and instant agar. The alginate range covers sodium alginate, potassium alginate, ammonium alginate, calcium alginate and alginic acid, supplied to food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, textile and industrial customers, with pharmaceutical excipient grades made in a dedicated building. The site occupies 26,680 square metres in total. The first project covers 6,667 square metres with a capacity of 2,000 tonnes a year, the second covers 7,735 square metres with a further 2,000 tonnes, the pharmaceutical excipient building covers 1,800 square metres with 1,500 tonnes, and the instant agar workshop covers 1,240 square metres with 500 tonnes, giving more than 6,000 tonnes of combined annual capacity.

The company runs a municipally certified key research laboratory and has received support under the State Oceanic Administration's 12th and 13th Five-Year economic demonstration projects. It positions itself as a hydrocolloid solutions supplier, offering application development and customised production alongside standard grades, with application work covering meat emulsification, fat replacement, pasta, dairy, mask and cream formulation, seaweed fibre and sustained-release drug delivery.
