Qinhuangdao Pengze Sugar Industry makes caramel colour in both liquid and solid form, and this is the line it concentrates on. Alongside it the company produces hydrolysed vegetable protein, maltose and fructose, and baking syrups, and it will develop fructose and baking sugars to a customer's own taste specification.

The business grew out of Changli Starch, founded in 2005, and now trades as Hebei Qinhuangdao Pengze Food Industry as well as under the sugar company name. It built its production base to GMP standards and runs its own food additive engineering technology centre, with quality control applied from raw material purchasing through processing to finished packing. It works from Qinhuangdao in Hebei.
