Shandong Donga Dongfang Ejiao Co., Ltd.

Shandong Dong'e Dongfang Ejiao Co., Ltd. (山东东阿东方阿胶股份有限公司) was founded in 2002 in Dong'e County, part of Liaocheng in western Shandong Province. Dong'e is the traditional production area for ejiao, the gelatin rendered from donkey hide that gives the material its name, and several producers operate in the county. This company is separate from the larger listed producer Dong-E-E-Jiao Co., Ltd.

It develops, manufactures and sells ejiao and related traditional Chinese medicine preparations. Output covers block ejiao, ejiao paste, freshly stewed ejiao products and instant ejiao powder, sold both as ingredients and as finished goods under its Gongxitang (贡禧堂) brand. Annual capacity was reported at more than 3,000 tonnes in 2024.

The company holds national high-technology enterprise status. It has been granted more than 20 Chinese patents and holds several health food registrations. In 2024 it was approved as a Shandong provincial postdoctoral innovation practice base and was recognised as a Liaocheng time-honoured brand.
