Shandong Tianxiang Food Ingredients Co., Ltd.

Shandong Tianxiang Food Ingredients was founded on 16 July 1994 as the Tengzhou fragrance and essence works, with registered capital of CNY 30 million. It operates at No. 60 Fushan Avenue in the biomedicine industrial park at Dawu Town, Tengzhou, Shandong, on a site of 20,736 square metres.

The company synthesises flavour chemicals in batch reactors ranging from 50 to 1,000 litres. Its catalogue is arranged by chemical family: pyrazines, thiazoles, furans, sulphur-containing compounds, alcohols, aldehydes and ketones, and esters. Sulfurol, a thiazole used in savoury and meat flavours, sits in that group. Pharmaceutical intermediates are made on the same equipment.

The business was renamed Tengzhou Tianxiang Flavour and Fragrance in January 2003. A dedicated fragrance production base, begun in July 2009, came on stream at the end of March 2010. Import and export registration followed in 2011, and United States FDA registration and kosher certification in 2015 opened longer-term access to Middle Eastern and North American markets, with sales into the United Kingdom, the United States, Brazil, Indonesia and Switzerland. In May 2021 the company invested in a 600 tonne per year food additive project and took its present name, adding feed additives and compounded ingredient finishing. It holds ISO9001 and ISO14001 certification and 23 patents, one of them an invention patent, and is recognised as a high-technology enterprise and an innovative small and medium enterprise.
