Shandong Zhongke Green Carbon Technology makes ammonium bicarbonate in food-additive and industrial grades. Food-grade ammonium bicarbonate is a chemical leavening agent used in biscuits, crackers and other baked goods, and it is the company's main food ingredient. Alongside it the company develops energy-saving chemical processes and other chemical technology.

The works began in 1972 as Weifang Zhenxing Coking, moved to Zaozhuang in Shandong in 2021 and took its present name then. It holds FSSC 22000 and ISO certification in addition to its production licence, and it took part in revising GB 1888, the Chinese national standard for food additive ammonium bicarbonate. Its ammonium bicarbonate carries the registered Chang trademark and sells in China and for export.
