Shanghai Ever Bright Enterprise Development sells sodium carboxymethyl cellulose made by the Ever Bright (Changguang) group, of which it is the Shanghai arm. CMC grades cover food and beverage thickening and stabilising as well as industrial uses such as battery electrodes, toothpaste, detergents, ceramics, paper and drilling fluids.

The group dates from 2002 and pairs this company with Shandong Yangtse Biotechnology, its manufacturing affiliate. Between them they run automated slurry-process CMC lines at Shanghai Jinshan and at Yantai in Shandong, with combined annual capacity the group puts at 60,000 tonnes. Ever Bright handles sales, research and export, ships to customers worldwide, and keeps companies and warehouses in North America, Europe and the Middle East.
