Shanghai Xumei Food Tech Co., Ltd. is the group headquarters of Xumei, a flavour and food ingredient business with close to thirty years in the industry. The Shanghai office was set up in 2001 and handles group management, marketing, research and information systems. Production is split across plants at Kaifeng in Henan and Ningbo in Zhejiang, with a third site at Ji'an in Jiangxi under construction.

The company works in natural flavours, natural tea aroma extracts and concentrated plant extracts. Tea products include black tea, jasmine tea, light-fragrance oolong and charcoal-roasted oolong concentrates. A natural products research centre was opened in 2007, and the group has since added enzymatically hydrolysed cereal flour production through a full acquisition.

The plants hold ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, halal and Chinese SC certification. Group operations run on integrated ERP and office automation systems that support single-step traceability across production records.
