Shanghai Yeshen Industrial makes nata de coco, the firm coconut-water gel cut into cubes for jellies, yoghurt, bubble tea and desserts. Its Shanghai plant concentrates on the molasses-cured type, and the company also handles fibre nata de coco and trades tropical fruit from Hainan, which is where its coconut raw material comes from.

The factory is in the Songjiang industrial zone in Shanghai and the company employs close to forty management and technical staff. It runs a documented set of procedures for process management and quality control across fermentation, cutting and syrup treatment, and sells finished nata de coco in bulk to beverage and dessert manufacturers.
