Sichuan Gaofuji Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was established in 2009 and works on probiotic strain development, probiotic and postbiotic raw materials and contract development and manufacturing. Its plant is in the Sichuan cuisine industrial park in Pidu District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province.

The company develops its own patented strains and uses multiple-layer encapsulation and low-temperature spray drying, both covered by patents, to hold cell counts through shelf life. Its strains have been applied to uric acid reduction and oral health, and it holds several Chinese patents.

Gaofuji has been designated a national high and new technology enterprise and a specialised and innovative small enterprise, and hosts an academician and expert innovation workstation.
