Sinosweet, registered as Jiangsu Hanguang Sweetener Co., Ltd., is a privately held Chinese producer of aspartame based at Yangzhu, Dapu, in Yixing, Jiangsu. Stated capacity is 10,000 tonnes a year. The company also makes L-phenylalanine, the principal raw material for aspartame, which it presents as the basis of its independence from outside supply.

Aspartame is sold into sugar-free, low-calorie and diet applications: carbonated and still soft drinks, fruit juices and jams, tabletop sweeteners in compressed, powdered, sachet and liquid forms, dry mixes, dairy products including yoghurt and frozen desserts, confectionery, chewing gum, baked goods, mints and jellies, and pharmaceutical tablets, sucrose-free syrups and effervescent tablets.

Products are made to FCC, USP and Chinese national standards, or to customer specification. The company states that its aspartame is free of GMO material and of BSE-derived inputs, carries Kosher certification and is labelled for phenylketonuria.
