Suqian Modern Biology Technology makes mineral food additives, with phosphates as the core. The range covers calcium phosphates including monocalcium, dicalcium and tricalcium phosphate, magnesium phosphates, the sodium series from monosodium and disodium phosphate through to trisodium phosphate, sodium tripolyphosphate, the pyrophosphates and sodium hexametaphosphate, the matching potassium and ammonium phosphates, and blended compound phosphates. Citrates of calcium, sodium, potassium, magnesium and zinc, calcium and magnesium carbonate, ferrous sulphate and silicon dioxide complete it.

The company was founded in 2002 and works from the high-technology development zone at Suqian in northern Jiangsu, about 140 kilometres inland from the port of Lianyungang, which it uses for sea freight. It sells both food-grade mineral salts for fortification and buffering and technical grades for other industries.
