Tianjin Duofuyuan Industrial makes synthetic food colours, their aluminium lakes and compound colour blends, sold under the Tianfuyuan brand. Single colours cover tartrazine, sunset yellow, ponceau 4R, allura red, amaranth, erythrosine, brilliant blue, brilliant black, fast green and titanium dioxide, and the company mixes shades such as grape purple, orange red, orange yellow and milk chocolate brown to order.

It works a 76,000 square metre site in Tianjin with 30,000 square metres of building, holding three production workshops, a testing centre and a research unit recognised in 2010 as a Tianjin municipal enterprise technology centre. Separate dedicated lines run in parallel so that colours do not cross-contaminate. The company took part in drafting GB 17511.1 and GB 17511.2, the Chinese national standards for allura red and its aluminium lake. It sells across more than 30 provinces and municipalities and exports, with further brands Difuyuan, Tianruyi and Hutou.
