Wecare Bioengineering Co., Ltd., registered as 威凯海思（山东）生物工程有限公司, develops gut microbiota preparations and makes probiotic raw materials. Its listed products are freeze-dried probiotic powder, lactic acid bacteria and probiotic materials sold to other manufacturers. It is classed as a high-tech enterprise.

The production base is at No. 10080 Xinhua Avenue in Zhoucun District, Zibo, Shandong Province. It holds a line rated at 500 tonnes a year of high-activity freeze-dried lactic acid bacteria powder, together with a development centre for microecological preparations and separate microbiology, application and process laboratories.

The company keeps its own strain collection, which it puts at more than 2,000 preserved probiotic strains. Its powders are used in food, pharmaceutical and health product manufacture, and in fermentation applications including fruit and vegetable enzyme drinks, pickles, silage and fermented feed, as well as in microbial deodorisation.
