Wuxi Jinde Cocoa Food makes cocoa powder under the Apple brand. The range is graded by fat content, with high fat at 20 percent and above for chocolate work, medium fat at 14 to 18 percent for general food processing and low fat at 10 percent and below, and it includes alkalised cocoa powder, which is darker and milder for baking. Customers use it in chocolate, baked goods, ice cream and dairy, and drinks.

The company took its present form in 2003, having previously traded as Wuxi Xiande Biochemical, and works from Wuxi in Jiangsu. It runs HACCP food safety management, holds an SC production licence for cocoa products and an export food enterprise certificate, and has its own import and export rights. Testing covers colour, aroma, fat, moisture and fineness on each batch, and it exports to Europe, North America and Southeast Asia.
