Xinghua Kanghua Foods Co., Ltd. was set up in August 2000 and processes dehydrated vegetables, seasonings, spices and other farm products. Its plant is in the Xingdong Town industrial cluster on the eastern edge of Xinghua, a county-level city under Taizhou in Jiangsu Province that accounts for a large share of China's dehydrated vegetable output.

The company works mainly by air drying, the AD method, in which vegetables are hot-air dried after washing and cutting. Its range covers dehydrated carrot in dice and slice sizes from 3 by 3 to 10 by 10 millimetres, garlic, onion, ginger, red pepper, chives, spinach, cabbage, leek, coriander, celery, green beans, potato and pumpkin, together with dried apple dice. A milling line turns out vegetable and fruit powders including spinach, garlic, strawberry, barley grass and red bean powder, and ground spices such as white pepper, black pepper and ginger powder. The company also assembles mixed vegetable packs and supplies ingredients to Korean food manufacturers.

Kanghua holds ISO 9001 quality certification and HACCP food safety certification, has its own testing laboratory and sorting workshop, and holds import and export rights. Reported headcount is in the range of 300 to 500 and registered capital is 5.08 million yuan. Its products are exported to Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Europe and North America.
