Yantai Shuangta Food Co., Ltd. (烟台双塔食品股份有限公司) processes peas into protein, starch, fibre and vermicelli at Zhaoyuan, a county-level city under Yantai in Shandong Province. The business dates from 1978 and was listed on the main board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2010 under code 002481, making it the only listed company in the Chinese pea processing industry.

The plant works non-GMO yellow peas imported from Canada. Products are pea protein isolate, including conventional and organic grades and a textured protein, pea starch, pea fibre and mung bean and fava bean protein, together with Longkou vermicelli. The company states it was the first producer of 90 percent pea protein. It has more than 1,000 employees and a factory site above 100,000 square metres. It also grows mushroom mycelium as a second line, using pea processing residues as substrate.

Pea protein is exported to Europe, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Canada and Southeast Asia. Certifications held include BRC, Kosher, Halal, HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 22000, and the company operates an accredited laboratory. Reported revenue for 2024 was 2.45 billion yuan.
