Zhejiang Jiande Zhengfa Pharmaceutical makes calcium carbonate, both as a food additive and as a pharmaceutical active ingredient.

The company started in 1992 at Shaduntou village in Lijia, Jiande, under Hangzhou, making ordinary light calcium carbonate. It built a clean workshop and a dedicated calcium carbonate line to GMP requirements in 2005 and moved into pharmaceutical and food additive grades. A drug production licence followed in 2007 and a food additive calcium carbonate production licence in 2008, and in January 2017 the national drug regulator granted it a manufacturing registration for calcium carbonate as an active pharmaceutical ingredient, approval number H20173018.
