Anhui Chinaherb Flavors & Fragrance Co., Ltd.

Anhui Chinaherb Flavors & Fragrances was established in March 2009 and makes cooling agents and plant essential oils from biomass feedstocks. The cooling agent range covers the synthetic WS series, including WS-23, WS-3 and WS-5, along with menthol derivatives such as l-menthyl lactate, menthyl isovalerate and menthol acetate. Essential oil and aroma chemical lines include spearmint oil, ginger oil, dihydroactinidiolide, megastigmatrienone and butyl butyryl lactate.

The plant is at No. 7 Ruquan Road in the Huaiyuan industrial area of Bengbu, Anhui, inside the Huaiyuan Economic Development Zone and about 1,500 metres from the Tu-Xu expressway exit. The company covers 200,000 square metres and employs more than 300 people, and describes itself as a high-tech enterprise combining research, development and production.

Chinaherb marked its fifteenth year in 2024 and listed on the Beijing Stock Exchange in September of that year. Its laboratory and microbiological testing system is maintained to current national standards, and the products carry Kosher and Halal certification along with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000, plus EU REACH registration. The company attends IFEAT and other international flavour and fragrance events, which is consistent with a business selling cooling agents into export tobacco, oral care and confectionery supply chains rather than only domestically.
