Anhui Fengle Perfume Co., Ltd.

Anhui Fengle Perfume was founded in 1997 with registered capital of 45 million yuan and is a wholly owned subsidiary of SDIC Fengle Seed Industry, itself part of the State Development and Investment Corporation. It produces natural mint derivatives and synthetic cooling agents: natural menthol, mint oil, menthone, peppermint oil and spearmint oil on the natural side, and WS-23, WS-3, menthyl lactate, apple ester and vanillyl butyl ether on the synthetic side.

Its newer plant sits in the Hefei circular economy park and covers 88 mu, with four workshops and eight production lines. The synthetic packing area uses a quasi-cleanroom layout and the natural workshop is built to Class D cleanroom standard. Process control runs on SIS and DCS automation with a gas detection system, wastewater treatment station and regenerative thermal oxidiser. A 900 square metre quality laboratory holds mass spectrometry, chromatography, atomic absorption, chemical analysis and stability rooms plus a Class C microbiology area, equipped with Thermo Fisher GC-MS and Agilent instruments. The company sends samples for carbon-14 naturalness testing at intervals to police the origin of incoming raw material.

Fengle holds FDA registration, Chinese GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, ISO 45001, FSSC 22000, Halal and Kosher certification. It has led or contributed to 21 national and industry standards and holds 23 patents; its multi-stage separation technology for menthol and mint oil was entered on the national Torch programme. Customers include Givaudan, Firmenich, Takasago, L'Oreal, Kao and Mentholatum, and products reach more than 30 countries.
