Gansu Yasheng Potato Industry Group Co., Ltd.

Gansu Yasheng Potato Industry Group Co., Ltd. (甘肃亚盛薯业集团) is the potato arm of Gansu Yasheng Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd., a listed agricultural and chemicals group in Gansu Province whose other crops include hops and alfalfa. The potato business runs from breeding and seed multiplication through commodity growing to starch and flour processing.

Its seed and commodity potato bases in the Hexi Corridor cover 30,000 mu, about 2,000 hectares. Annual output is 20,000 tonnes of foundation seed potato, 10,000 tonnes of first-grade seed and 30,000 tonnes of commodity potato, with total potato sales of around 100,000 tonnes a year.

Processing plants at Shandan County and Lintao County make potato flour and starch. Rated annual capacity is 10,000 tonnes of potato flake flour, 20,000 tonnes of potato starch, 10,000 tonnes of modified potato starch and 1,000 tonnes of potato protein. The group's wholly owned subsidiaries in this business are Shandan Yuxing Powder Industry Co., Ltd., Gansu Tianrun Potato Industry Co., Ltd. and Gansu Dayou Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd.
