Green Fresh (Fujian) Foodstuff Co., Ltd. develops and produces food hydrocolloids, principally carrageenan, agar and konjac gum together with blended solutions built from them. It is the mainland arm of Green Fresh Group, an investment of Hong Kong Green Fresh Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and the group is listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under stock code 01084.

The mainland headquarters is in the Anshan Industrial Park at Zini Town, Longhai District, Zhangzhou City, Fujian province. The company has worked on hydrocolloids for more than 20 years, integrating extraction technology, bringing in production equipment and building a quality control system across that period. Seaweed is selected from unpolluted waters in the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia, and the finished material is stated to meet Chinese national standards as well as European Union and FDA requirements. Reports by third-party research bodies are cited as ranking the group first in the global market for both agar and carrageenan.

Its instant agar is a deep-processed grade offered at different gel strengths and with low dissolving temperatures, used in yoghurt, bakery and confectionery, and the company operates the full chain from seaweed extraction through instant processing with traceability at each step. A separate research centre works with domestic and overseas universities and research institutes, and the group also supplies plant-based candy and plant-based sausage systems.
