Hubei Xingfa Chemical Group Co., Ltd. was established in 1994 and registered in Xingshan County, Yichang, Hubei, with roots in phosphate mining and processing going back to the 1980s. It listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 1999 under code 600141 and stood at number 460 in the 2025 Fortune China 500. Head offices are at No. 58 Gaoyang Avenue in Gufu Town, Xingshan County, and at No. 188-9 Yanjiang Avenue in Wujiagang District, Yichang.

The group is built on fine phosphorus chemistry and runs an integrated chain from its own phosphate rock through to finished products, extended into silicon, sulfur, salt and fluorine chemistry. The catalogue runs to 674 products in 26 series across nine categories, including food, pharmaceutical and electronic grades. For food use the relevant lines are the phosphate salts, among them sodium tripolyphosphate and sodium acid pyrophosphate, alongside compound food additive blends. Mining rights cover about 395 million tonnes of phosphate rock, and 32 hydropower stations totalling 180.3 MW plus 13 distributed solar installations supply the Xingshan operations.

By the end of 2024 the group held 1,421 granted patents, 483 of them invention patents, and it has taken part in two international standards and 106 national, industry and association standards. It leads the Hubei Three Gorges Laboratory. Sales platforms operate in Brazil, the United States, Germany, Argentina, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia, reaching 131 countries and regions, and production bases are being developed in Indonesia and Ghana. Xingfa holds national Green Factory recognition and has rebuilt its riverside Yichang park, cutting overall park discharges by 30 percent and annual water withdrawal by half.
