Inter Chemical (Shijiazhuang) Co., Ltd.

Inter Chemical (Shijiazhuang) makes cellulose ethers: sodium carboxymethyl cellulose and polyanionic cellulose. In food the CMC grades thicken, stabilise and hold water in dairy drinks, ice cream, noodles and beverages, and the company also grades its output for toothpaste, ceramics, textile printing, paper, battery electrodes and oilfield drilling fluid, where the more uniformly substituted PAC controls viscosity and filtration.

The company started in 2005 and manufactures on Yulong Avenue at Jinzhou, near Shijiazhuang in Hebei. It runs three separate workshops with DCS process control and a clean packing room, and puts combined annual capacity at 28,000 tonnes of CMC and PAC. Cellulose ethers are its only business, and it sells into more than 70 countries.
