Jiangsu Chengxing Phosph-Chemicals Co., Ltd. listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 1997 under code 600078. Its head office is at No. 618 Meiyuan Street in Jiangyin, Jiangsu, and it holds more than twenty subsidiaries in Jiangsu, Guangxi, Yunnan and Shanghai.

The company runs a self-contained chain from phosphate rock through yellow phosphorus and phosphoric acid to phosphate salts. Two raw material bases in Yunnan, at Xuanwei in Qujing and at Mile in Honghe prefecture, give 160,000 tonnes a year of yellow phosphorus; the Xuanwei plant is described as the largest single phosphorus chemical works in the world. Two deep-processing bases, at Jiangyin in Jiangsu and Qinzhou in Guangxi, give 600,000 tonnes a year of thermal phosphoric acid and 95,000 tonnes a year of fine phosphates. Products cover yellow phosphorus, phosphoric acid, sodium, potassium and calcium phosphates and blended phosphate systems, sold into industrial, food, pharmaceutical and electronic applications; dicalcium phosphate and food-grade phosphoric acid fall in this range.

Chengxing has been named a national Green Factory, a technology innovation model enterprise and an energy efficiency benchmark enterprise, and holds China Famous Brand recognition. Customers named on its site include Sinopec, COFCO, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Yunnan Baiyao, Wahaha, Wanhua Chemical, Baosteel and Angel Yeast, and the company is a designated Asian supplier to Colgate, Hawley and Hazel, Nestle and Henkel. Current development work is directed at high-purity electronic materials, high-end phosphates and phosphorus materials for new energy applications.
