Kinomega Biopharm Inc.

KinOmega Biopharm Inc., registered as Sichuan Kinomega Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd., was set up in 2011 and began production in 2012. Its plant is at 161 Yinghuashan Road South in Shifang, a city administered by Deyang in Sichuan Province. The company was reorganised as a joint-stock company in January 2024 and is held by the Deyang investment holding group.

Its business is the purification, concentration and separation of omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil, supplied at food grade and pharmaceutical grade. Products are sold as triglyceride and ethyl ester forms of concentrated EPA and DHA, as active pharmaceutical ingredient material, and as algae oil.

The company has filed a United States Drug Master File for pharmaceutical grade fish oil and has passed a US FDA GMP inspection. It reports being the first Chinese fish oil manufacturer to obtain a CEP certificate of suitability from the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines, and the first to hold cGMP approvals from the Japanese PMDA and the Korean FDA. Its products also carry IFOS five-star certification.
