Mudanjiang Linrun Pharmaceutical Excipients LLC develops and produces natural cellulose products for food and pharmaceutical use, with a stated annual output of 8,000 tonnes. Its range centres on microcrystalline cellulose and colloidal microcrystalline cellulose, the latter used as a suspension stabiliser in beverages and dairy.

The company holds high-tech enterprise status and says it owns three core proprietary technologies covering its main products, together with independent intellectual property in the cellulose field. It states that its specifications are set tighter than the European, United States and Chinese pharmacopoeias, and that production runs on a mechanised and automated process and quality control system.

Current development work is directed at nanocellulose and new dietary fibre grades. The company's micronised microcrystalline cellulose received a science and technology innovation award at the ninth China Dietary Fibre Industry Conference, and its cellulose colloid stabiliser took a first prize in a Heilongjiang provincial workers' innovation competition. Linrun also took part in the 2024 biopharmaceutical industry session of the China Industrial Transfer Development event held in Heilongjiang.
